ULALO’S SUPPORT POWERS MZIMBA NORTH’S RISE IN PSLCE RESULTS
“By working together, we are able to unlock the potential of our learners” Jessy Kapombe.
Ulalo’s continued investment in education has been hailed as a one of the key factors in helping Mzimba North Education District rise from position 11 in 2023 to position 3 nationally in the 2024 Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE).
In the lead-up to the examinations, Ulalo and other partners supported Mzimba North in organizing a 10-day coaching clinic at Euthini Secondary School. The initiative brought together 240 top-performing students from various primary schools across the district.
Through intensive learning, mentorship, and motivation, the camp equipped learners with the skills and confidence to excel in their final examinations.
District education leaders have attributed this success to the unwavering efforts of Ulalo and other partners whose investments in elevating education standards are transforming outcomes for learners.
Chief Education Officer for Mzimba north, Jessy Kapombe, praised the collaboration, saying, “This success story is proof that partnerships matter. By working together, we are able to unlock the potential of our learners and give them a brighter future.”
The results are already evident, with 70 learners from Mzimba North selected to national secondary schools this year. Parents, teachers, and learners alike have expressed their gratitude, highlighting how this initiative created equal opportunities for students to compete nationally and raised the bar for educational success in the district.
This achievement reflects Ulalo’s broader mission of empowering children and young people to thrive, reach their full learning potential, and positively contribute to society. Ulalo’s vision is to empower youth so they have the means to achieve greatness, and its mission is to ensure that children and young people can thrive, reach their full learning potential, and positively contribute to society.
