Our Impact

OUR POSITION

Ulalo is the bridge to a better Malawi.

A comprehensive NGO, we strive for equity by improving education outcomes, building stronger health ecosystems, and fostering financial freedom and entrepreneurship to create thriving communities. With over a decade of successful collaborations, we help youth, and your funds reach their full potential.

Worldwide Impact

Ulalo had a presence at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, participating in several key events and focusing on addressing some of the world’s most complex social challenges. Engagements during UNGA included active participation in the Clinton Global Initiative, Spotlight Africa, TheSidebar, and Friends of Malawi events. Each provided valuable opportunities to share impact, learn from others, and forge partnerships that have the potential to transform communities for the better.

Malawi Impact

Ulalo’s positive interventions spans across northern Malawi, with projects in every district save one and assistance given to over 250 schools.

“Our friend indeed in Mzimba North is none other than Ulalo. Ulalo has assisted Mzimba North to improve the infrastructure in our schools and also the quality of education by organizing a number of activities that enhance teaching and learning. Ulalo has always been at the forefront of those that support us.”

- Jennings Kaira, Education Division Manager for northern Malawi

At Ulalo, 85%* of funding goes directly to youth and the community, improving the future of  Malawi.

“Ulalo exemplifies what it means to be an African-led organization: bold, visionary, and grounded in community realities. They have demonstrated remarkable leadership in advancing education access and quality through innovative and scalable solutions.”

- Temwa Msiska, Programmes Officer, Segal Family Foundation
