For the first time in its history, Luvwere Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) will open its doors to a fully equipped computer laboratory, bringing digital learning to 72 students in this rural community.
The lab, featuring 20 modern computers, is being installed by Ulalo’s ICT team ahead of the new academic term.
The initiative is designed to enhance students’ learning experiences, equip them with essential digital skills, and expand opportunities for innovation.
“This is a big milestone for our school and community,” said Emanuel Kayenge, Headteacher at Luvwere CDSS. “The new term will commence with new hope for our learners and teachers.”
Ulalo’s IT Lead, Fanuel Nyirenda, emphasized the broader impact of technology access in rural schools.
“We are proud to be part of bringing technology to this remote area, creating opportunities for students to explore digital learning.” Said Fanuel.

The project was made possible through the support of American Foundation for Children with AIDS, Team4Tech, and the Segal Family Foundation, whose contributions enable Ulalo to implement innovative educational solutions in underserved areas.
With this new facility, students at Luvwere CDSS can learn computer literacy, explore digital tools, and prepare for a future where technology plays an increasingly central role.
The initiative reflects Ulalo’s commitment to empowering children, youth, and women through education and access to technology.
